Mr. Darcy Takes the Plunge was originally supposed to have six chapters, each being a tribute to one of Jane Austen’s novels. It was later determined some sections were too long, so the story was divided into six parts, with each having as many chapters as necessary. I couldn’t resist an opportunity for further wordplay, so each chapter was given a punny title.

Here are fourteen of my favourite Jane Austen quotations (other than the one I’ve adopted as my writing motto … “Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.”). I either totally agree with the quotes or snicker each time I read them. I shall leave it to you to speculate which is which.
